Common pleas court
The Putnam County common pleas court is comprised of the following three divisions:
Domestic-relations division
This division handles divorces, marriage dissolutions, and child-custody disputes. View domestic relations forms
Juvenile division
This division focuses on cases involving minors (persons under age 18), including civil, criminal, traffic, and abuse/neglect/dependency cases.
Probate division
This division hears cases involving wills, estates, guardianships, and adoptions, and it also issues marriage licenses.
