Tim Wehri
Commissioner
Tim Wehri has deep roots in the Kalida community, where he was born, raised, and continues to live and work on the family farm. As the youngest of 12 children, Tim’s early life was shaped by the values of hard work and dedication. He graduated from Kalida High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, specializing in agronomy, from The Ohio State University. He later obtained a teaching degree in secondary science education from the University of Findlay.
After completing his education, Tim taught various science courses at Delphos St. John’s for 23 years while actively managing his farming responsibilities. Alongside his teaching and farming commitments, he dedicated 40 years to serving as a basketball official before retiring in 2021.
Tim is also a committed community volunteer. He has been a long-time member of the Kalida Fish and Game Club and the Kalida Lions Club, where he currently serves as president.
In 2024, Tim was elected to his first term as County Commissioner. He is eager to contribute to the well-being of Putnam County residents and looks forward to leveraging his experience and dedication to serve the community effectively.
John Schlumbohm
Commissioner
John Schlumbohm was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, and lived near Weston until the age of four, when he moved with his parents and two siblings to a farm near Pandora. John attended Pandora-Gilboa School, graduating in 1974, and began his career as a carpenter.
In 1977, he established John Schlumbohm Construction, a small contracting company employing three to six workers. In 1990, he co-founded Allco Interiors with a business partner, specializing in painting and flooring and employing up to 10 craftsmen. Continuing his entrepreneurial journey, John and the same partner opened Pandora Flooring & Supply in 2010, where he remains actively involved alongside two of his children and his business partner.
John has a long history of public service. He joined the Pandora/Riley Township Fire Department in 1978 and, in 1993, was elected to the Pandora Village Council. He served on the council until his election as Mayor of Pandora in 2005, a role he held until December 2018, when he assumed office as a Putnam County Commissioner.
John was married to Susan Hovest of Glandorf, who passed away in April 2017. He is the proud father of three adult children, all residing in Putnam County, and the grandfather of three grandchildren.

After graduating high school, Brad obtained his Ohio Basic Emergency Medical Technician certification and served as a volunteer EMT with Putnam County EMS for 25 years. In 1989, he earned his Ohio Police Officer Training certification and embarked on a 34-year career in law enforcement. The first 11 years were spent with the Columbus Grove Police Department, where he served as Chief of Police for five years. He then joined the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff, serving for 23 years and retiring on October 1, 2023, at the rank of Captain, while also holding the role of County 911 Coordinator.
Brad has a strong record of public service beyond law enforcement. He was elected to the Columbus Grove Board of Education, serving for 28 years.
