RATES INCREASED

RESOLUTION

 

            The Board of County Commissioners of Putnam County, Ohio, met in regular session on the 27th day of  May, 2008, at the office of said Board with the following members present:  Mr. John E. Love, Mr. Vincent T. Schroeder and Mr. Robert A. Riepenhoff.

            Mr. Love   moved the adoption of the following Resolution:

 

            WHEREAS,  Due to increasing expenses at the Putnam County Transfer Station, the Board of County Commissioners deems it necessary to increase the rates.

and

 

WHEREAS,  Rates have not been increased since January 2, 2002, and the rates associated with disposal have increased dramatically.

now therefore, be it

 

            RESOLVED, The Board of County Commissioners does hereby agree to increase the rates at the Putnam County Transfer Station as follows:

 

Price per cubic yard:

Household waste……………………..$17.50

Construction debris…………………..$31.00

Brick, gravel, concrete (sorted)………$ 6.00

and be it further

 

            RESOLVED, Brick, gravel and concrete that is not sorted  will no longer be accepted at the Putnam County Transfer Station effective June 1, 2008.

and be it further

 

            RESOLVED, Clean wood sorted will be charged $10.00 cubic yard.

and be it further

 

            RESOLVED,  Effective June 1, 2008, The Putnam County Transfer Station will not charge for appliances free of refrigerant however,  appliances with refrigerant will not be accepted.

and be it further

 

            RESOLVED, The following items will be accepted at the Putnam County Transfer Station on a per item charge:

 

Mattress…………………$ 12.00

Hoofed animals…………$ 75.00

Animal young/small…….$ 30.00

Fowl………………………$ 12.00

Trash bag………………...$ 3.00

and be it further

            RESOLVED, Said resolution becomes effective June 1, 2008.         

 

            Mr. Schroeder seconded the motion and the roll being called upon its adoption, the vote resulted as follows: Mr. Riepenhoff yes       Mr. Schroeder yes   Mr. Love yes
