FIVE STEP SALARY SCHEDULE

 

RESOLUTION

 

 

            The Board of County Commissioners of Putnam County, Ohio, met in regular session on the 1st day of  July, 2010, at the office of said Board with the following members present:  Mr. John E. Love, Mr. Vincent T. Schroeder, Mr. Travis A. Jerwers.

 

Mr. Jerwers    moved the adoption of the following resolution:

 

WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code section 124.14 states employees of each county department of job and family services shall be paid a salary or wage established by the board of county commissioners.

and     

 

WHEREAS, the current salary schedule is currently in need of modification due in part to the merger of Child Support Enforcement with Job and Family Services.

and

 

WHEREAS, the current salary schedule allows for supervisory personnel to be compensated at a rate of seventy-five cents (.75) higher than the supervisors highest paid employee whom which the supervisor currently supervises.

and

 

WHEREAS, within the Child Support Enforcement Unit the Child Support Enforcement Supervisor supervises two intermittent attorneys with hourly wages that have been set by the Court of Common Pleas.         

now therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, effective upon commissioners signatures the Child Support Enforcement supervisor will be compensated at the current approved Job and Family salary schedule excluding CSEA attorney hourly wages as it was not the intent of the salary schedule to compensate supervisors at a rate higher than employees who are intermittent and wages were/are set by someone other than the Putnam County Commissioners.      

 

Mr.   Love   seconded the motion and the roll called upon its adoption, the
