Minutes for Tuesday, July 15, 2008

Mr. Schroeder moved the adoption of the following Resolution:

WHEREAS, Elected officials/department heads submitted estimates of their requirements for the next fiscal year.

and

WHEREAS, According to Section 5705.28 of the Ohio Revised Code the county commissioners are required to prepare a budget for the next fiscal year.

and

WHEREAS, A public hearing on the prepared budget for the next fiscal year was held on July 8, 2008.

now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, The Board of County Commissioners does hereby approve the budget.

Mr. Schroeder moved the adoption of the following Resolution:

WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners received bids for a self propelled trenching machine for the Putnam County Road 19 road widening project on March 27, 2008 and a contract for said machine was awarded to The Shelly Company, 170 Fostoria Avenue, Findlay, Ohio, on May 1, 2008.

and

WHEREAS, The Putnam County Engineer has requested that the contract award be cancelled as said contractor failed to sign the contract documents in the allotted time, per the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation Construction Material and Specifications Item # 103.07.

now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, The Board of County Commissioners, upon the recommendation of the Putnam County Engineer, does hereby cancel the contract award with The Shelly Company for the Road 19 widening trenching machine.

Mr. Love moved the adoption of the following Resolution:

WHEREAS, The Board has received requests from the various departments of Job and Family Services for approval of travel expenses.

now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF PUTNAM COUNTY, OHIO, hereby approve payment of the expenses per the attached list in accordance with Section 325.20 of the Ohio Revised Code and authorizes the Auditor to issue her warrants per attached list upon receipt of invoices and be if further

RESOLVED, That the Auditor is hereby authorized and directed to issue any advanced warrants as necessary.
